Google is the search engine that selects web pages based on how many people link to the page. So if a page has never been linked to, it can never be returned in a Google search. I have noticed another difference about Google: "treehouse" returns one set of links, but "old treehouse" or "treehouse camera" usually return a completely different set of links. So adding a qualifying word to your search is highly recommended with Google.
Treehouses can be used for anything.
The botanical garden in San Francisco held an exhibit of unusual custom treehouses, many created by famous architects.
Stories. "The Treehouse is where I retreat for creative inspiration. High above the ground, secluded by leaves, The Treehouse is my secret hiding place where I escape from the world and its problems and look upward."
"Children live in a world of imagination and feeling-They invest the most insignificant object with any form they please, and see in it whatever they wish to see."
George of the Jungle: "The primary jungle set-which housed George's treehouse among other things-is 350 feet long by 90 feet wide," says Marsh. "It had to be a multi-purpose set that could be used for as many different camera angles as possible. It took four months to design George's treehouse and another two months to build the jungle that surrounds it." Marsh says of this colorful jungle, "We all have childhood memories of what we think a jungle looks like. So we tried to make the jungle-and George's treehouse-feel just like a childhood fantasy of a jungle. We looked at some of the old `Tarzan' movies from the 1930s and `40s-because even though this film is a very modern production, we wanted to capture that slightly daffy feeling those great old pictures had." The famed treehouse emerged as the centerpiece for the vast enclave, standing as a colorful playground made of airplane parts rummaged by George and Ape along with such materials as bamboo, vines and tree bark. Built by over 100 craftsmen out of three tons of steel and another half-ton of plaster, the set was created first as a wood frame and then covered in concrete.
Kelley's treehouse home in the ComMOOnuity of LinguaMOO: "a huge, spiraling Grandfather-like Oak Tree grows smack through the middle of the warm, golden-oak floorboards, its canopy arching wildly above towards a glass, cathedral-like ceiling." Kelley is "short, petite, and has delicately pointed faerie ears, and is sticking her tongue out at you."

"Want to be part of something truly amazing? Want to build real communities on the Internet? Want to work in a colorful treehouse in Redwood City? Come join us at Homestead.com." This job offer was posted in May 1999 (search for "treehouse" in the jobs web page). The Homestead web site still offers jobs but doesn't mention the treehouse (sigh...).
